Jane Grigson's Vegetable Book
Half reference book, half cookbook, this is a lovely, early edition of one of the books I use most when cooking at home. It’s one of my Mum’s favourites too, and a GIFT to anyone that gets a veg box. No idea what to do with a celeriac? Don’t worry, Jane knows. She lists most of the vegetables you’re ever likely to have in your possession, tells you everything about them, how to prepare them (in the case of artichokes or something) and then gives you loads of things to do with them! Brilliant!!!
