Modern French Cooking For The American Kitchen - Wolfgang Puck (Signed)

£65.00
Only 1 available

Know anyone called Margo who might want this? Orson Welles says on the back cover: ‘Every blue moon or so we are blessed with such a one as Mr Wolfgang Puck, and his creations are the purest art.’ Which whilst obviously not true, is quite some quote to have. And bearing in mind David Hockney did the cover pic, the guy must have been doing something right, right!? This book is from a moment when Wolfgang was one of the most exciting young cooks working in America (LA specifically) and provides many examples of what would become LA cuisine [before everyone got so into salad and Mexican food became so influential] - ie brunchy, healthy, nouvelle/minceur/heavily European (mostly French) influenced, minimal excellence.

Publisher/Published: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1981

Signed, fourth printing of First Edition. Hardback. Inscription reads: ‘Spago 1986, To Margo [Something], Wolfgang Puck’

Condition: Good. Few knocks to dust jacket but bearing in mind how old it is…
