Len Deighton's Action Cook Book
IYKYK. Cookbook meets Comic Book. Funny, beautifully designed and totally iconic, Len’s legendary Action Cook Strips were a great idea. Speaking of which, I’d really recommend you buy Tim Hayward’s book Steak - for which Big Len (and his son?!) did a few new strips!! No respectable collection of the best cookbooks of all time is complete without this monster of the scene.
Publisher/Published: Penguin, 1967
First paperback edition, more compact that the original Jonathan Cape version.
Condition: BB. All in all bearing in mind how old it is, in good nick. Spine’s a little ruffled ie it has been read. There’s a small sticker in the bottom corner of the front and back covers saying ‘52 ½ p’, which I could have removed but kind of like for some reason.
