Liberace Cooks! - As Told To Carol Truax (First Edition)

£250.00

‘Pardon me while I slip into something more spectacular.’ HAHAHAH GOD LOVE LIBERACE! This book has many of the classic Polish and Italian things Liberace (Wladziu Valentino Liberace) grew up with (his Mum was Polish and his Dad Italian), and TONNES of other things. For someone so fabulous, Liberace had simple and excellent taste in food. These are the recipes of someone who genuinely loved cooking and eating, not someone using food to show off. I love this book, and the idea of him knocking up dinner for friends and family, in one of his seven kitchens, wearing more jewellery than Mr T, is just magic. The photographs are great too!!! Maybe you could do a dinner party, canapes, starter, main and pudding etc, all dressed up, all out of this book and channel a bit of Liberace into your life, which would do us all some good. As Liberace said, you’ll ‘be laughing all the way to the [flavour] bank.’

Publisher/Published: Doubleday, 1970

True First Edition. Hardback, with dust jacket.

Condition: BB. See pics. Pretty good innit.
