Entertaining With Kerr - The Galloping Gourmet (AKA Graham Kerr)
This book is the recipes from the TV show of the same name and from a time when soy sauce seems to have been referred to as soya sauce, which for some reason I find interesting. Kerr was one of the OG ‘foodies’ and claimed to have created many dishes, one of his classics in here is the Peter Rodenburg Omelet - a prawn and cabbage omelet. Make of that what you will. I love it that he bangs MSG in stuff and also that he makes a crockery suggestion and drink pairing (‘It is important not to drink wine as we know it. A small quantity of warmed rice wine is far better.’) for every dish. Guy was a veritable culinary Picasso.
Publisher/Published: Britsh Broadcasting Corporation (The BBC), 1970
Condition: Officially BB, I guess, but as you can see, this is in a right old state. You can’t say it isn’t cheap as a result though!
